The kiddies were very excited about taking the school bus to school.
We went to School bus safety orientation.... they left armed with school bus rules, a safety certificate and a brand new pencil!
Then the dayof the big event... Dave and I took them to daycare because that is where they will be catching the bus in the mornings. Into daycare we go to get in the "big kid" lineup.
Here is Miss Sandra saying goodbye to her last year pre-schoolers. Don't look to her for support if your trying to keep your composure about your baby starting school !
I instructed both kids when getting on the bus to turn around and wave to the camera.
Preston you did a great job,
Des, well ....maybe next year.
Des, well ....maybe next year.
Miss Jodi waving bye...
So then we followed the bus to the school so we could watch them get off at school. Would they know what to do? would they know where to go? Can they find their teachers? Will they start running in the opposite direction?.....ahhhhhhhhhHHHHHH.
Here comes Preston, yup he found Mrs Kershaw, look at him standing and waiting patiently. I was soooo proud of you Preston. Preston never even noticed us.
Here comes Destiny... this is her spotting me as soon as she disembarked. "Mommy, you're CaRAZYYYYYYY !! then off she ran to find Mrs. Taylor, yup she is the one holding the yellow balloon.

Bye Bye Babies !! Don't miss me too much today! :) and soon they will be seventeen and this will all be a blurr. I think I am crying more now writing this post than I did on that day. I remember when I started Kindergarten , feeling all grown up, being really mad when I caught Mom, Tina and Lisa following me on the back street as I made my first big walk down town all by myself (or so I thought) with my huge pink bookbag and my holly hobbie tin lunch box into the big wooden doors of the United Church. Wow, has it really been 32 years?!
