a hunter in the making?

Des got all dressed up in her bright orange vest to join her dad out in the woods Friday night, and then upon their return I asked her to practice the moose call that Grumps wanted her to do the next morning at the Hunter's breakfast in McAdam...I'm pretty sure if she had gone out with her dad moose hunting this year they would of gotten one! thank goodness he didn't take her!

grrr, must remember to take videos with the camera horizontal instead of vertical...oh well, tilt your neck, it's worth it!

an update!

now you see it...

now you don't!

I haven't seen Destiny this excited in a while, she was giggling and carrying her tooth around with her for the rest of the evening! and so brave, she's somewhat dramatic as you all know, but she was a trooper and was determined to get that tooth out! and with the added incentive of Marc giving her 5 dollars if she pulled the tooth that night and me contributing to the fund, well it was a good night of change collecting for Des!

and this is Des a few days ago in the pool, practicing to be a "kidder whale" trainer.

it's not her fault!

I get on her case to update her blog weekly, at least! but in her defense, she is super busy working 40 hours a week, taking care of two kids who are super busy, so I guess it isn't all her fault that she doesn't have time to update this blog for her followers...but I do tell her if she keeps it up she's gonna lose her followers! so here are a few pictures of the kids, cause we know that's all you guys really want to see, at my birthday party at Fonda's. And by party, I mean, me, Fonda, Dave, Destiny and Preston! ha!

Preston and Destiny got me a bouquet of flowers for my birthday, they went out with Dave while Fonda and I were out at the stores, and they cut the flowers from the woods! how adorable is that? and what might be even more adorable is that Dave arranged them in the vase! definitely a keeper, Fonda! they are my most favourite bouquet of flowers ever received! (not that I've received many in my 30 something years...)

and this is the card (?) that the kids made me...again, pretty darn adorable!

and guys, she made me a cake! Fonda, aka, Fonder, Fonda Bear, Babe, YOUR SISTER, baked me a cake, from scratch! and it was dee-li-cious!

and I have learned that when there are kids around, it's not actually "your" cake, with "your" birthday candles, but in all honesty, it's so much more fun to blow candles out with some assistance from the youngin's!

so although we didn't hit any bars that night, or partake in any hip birthday festivities, that we could talk about all day long at work, I had a great time, and I thank you guys for making my day really special! wanna do it again next year?

For my MoM

Yup, It's true....a Blog not about the kids !

I made these headstone saddle flower arrangements today. It is that time of year again. The pink one is for Mom and the blue and red is for Skip. I am making a Charlotte County trip tomorrow. First stop McAdam to put flowers on Mom's grave for mothers day....then join up with Dad to go to Robinston Me. to do some cleanup work on Skips grave and put flowers up for Memorial Day, since I will be in Florida that weekend. Then off to St. Stephen for Stacey Leavitt"s housewarming party. ...a quick trip to St Andrews to say Hi to Gary and Janet and then finally to Back Bay to spend the day with Dave's Mom and go to Sunday School with her.
